People use religion to rouse prejudices and they know they will succeed. Religion is so good at it that it is clear that that it must be what it exists for no matter how good it pretends to be.
We must hate religion but this is not hating the people in it. If you deny free will, that enables you to distinguish between evil and the doer of evil. To hate religion is to hate the system that captivates and controls even the very pope himself but it is not to hate the victims. We hate religion because it is made up of the victims and because we love the victims and want to set them free or to prevent them spreading religion to other people who will be damaged by it.
You can loathe a person’s badness or error and not hate that person but only for the evil was not in the person but came out through the person. We must hate nobody.  
Religion says the same thing but it sullies the philosophy by bringing in free will and sin which means doing evil of your own free will that God hates. If the person freely causes the act they cannot say loving sinners and hating sins can be done for then to condemn the sin is to condemn the person who freely brought the sin into being. Hating the sin then is a hidden way of hating somebody’s guts. Hating the bad a person does is not necessarily the same as love the sinner and hate the sin - sin is a judgement term and accuses a person of intentionally and with free will of having done evil. Love the sinner and hate the sin means want the sinner unpunished but want the sin punished. It is a contradiction and an act of cruelty to encourage such a useless notion.
Secretly relishing festering hatred that is suppressed from exploding into action can be just as deadly if not worse than hatred that is admitted and released into the open. The impossibility of hate the sin and love the sinner alone shows religion could cause terrible trouble. It’s teaching springs forth from that principle so it makes all the teaching something that will pollute people
The Bible teaches that God hates sinners and loves the righteous he has chosen. The Church however holds that God can hate for he sees the soul while we are not allowed to for we won’t see what others are really like until we go to Heaven so we will be allowed to hate then. We are not allowed to hate in case they don't deserve it. This teaching is saying that hate is good and it is not good unless you know for sure how hateful the person is. How could hating anybody now be a serious sin if you accept the doctrine that only some sins are serious and detested absolutely by God? God then would not be too hard on us for hating for he does it himself. The Bible also says that God gives some the charismatic prophetic power to tell what is in the hearts of others. St Paul told the Corinthians that this gift was common among them. So as long as you think God is telling you somebody is bad you can hate their guts.
Religion is so self-deceiving that it is clearly a serious error to trust it when it has gained a position of power and especially if that power is political. It teaches things and practices things that would not be bothered with in a normal life and maintains that people are biased towards sin and then it fosters these quirks as if people don’t have enough to sin and cause division over when they are supposed to be so bad. Religion preaches about responsibility and I don’t see it taking any.
The Roman Catholic Church believes that those who are baptised are made holy and God is within them vivifying them to do good unlike the unbaptised who all need baptism. This automatically infers that if you need to save lives and you can’t save all and there is a mixture of baptised and unbaptised you should save the baptised for they are more use to God. Those who are baptised come before people who might never get baptised if they are saved. Not surprisingly the Church made sure it was mostly baptised converts from Judaism it saved in preference to those who were still Jews during World War II (page 105, The End of Faith). This amounts to indirect persecution of the unbaptised. Roman Catholicism is a crafty fascist faith - a disgrace.
Baptism is so important that if you have to save the lives of the unbaptised babies, you must baptise them first and then save them. Many of them will be dead by the time that is done.
Attempts will be made to say that people should be saved without regard to baptism on the grounds that unbaptised people can sometimes live better lives than the unbaptised. The Church cannot accept that. Why? God isn’t pleased with the good lives of the unbaptised but he is with the baptised for they are done by grace. So one good work done by a bad Catholic is worth more than a whole life of good work by an unbaptised person. Such beliefs show the contempt for non-Catholics that the Church likes to pretend it doesn’t feel for them at all.
The believers complain about the view that the Christian faith is unacceptable because it preaches moral absolutes - that is that some things are absolutely wrong. Those with that view are saying nothing is really absolutely wrong. The believers say that the deniers of moral absolutes are making a statement for which there is no proof and so it is an act of faith, a leap of faith (page xvii, The Reason for God). But Christians go too far with the moral absolutes. It is one thing to say that stealing is absolutely wrong. But another to say that you need to go to Mass on a Sunday and on Church feast days and it is absolutely wrong not to. The Church invents moral absolutes. It gives the real ones a bad name. The person who invents moral absolutes is no better than the person who denies they exist. And could be worse!
Religion says we are all sinners and nothing we offer God is perfect. Sin taints everything. Each unnecessary moment you stay in sin is a fresh sin. It is saying, “I will not repent.” You may say that you are staying in the state or condition of sin and this is not a fresh sin. True. But every time you waste the chance to get out of it is a fresh sin. If you fail to see this, you are committing the sin of hypocrisy. You are still responsible. One who believes his prophet is infallible and who commits murder because the prophet commands it is still a vile murderer and ridden with vice. His belief does not alleviate his wickedness. Why? Because he is at hypocrite at heart. Yet religion encourages the likes of him in his bigotry and thirst to destroy people in the name of religion by saying, "His sincerity is admirable and so he is a good man at heart."
Religion has many subtle and shameless ways of encouraging bigotry.
